Teaching Flash in New York this June

I’m now teaching a “Macromedia Flash: Animation and Introduction to ActionScript” at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. The class is a continuing education class with 3 CEUs and meets on eight Saturdays 10:000am to 2:00pm June 9th through July 28th, 2007.

This course will explore both 2D animation and basic interactivity. Topics include vector illustration with Flash’s unique drawing tools and working with type and animation (keyframe, frame-by-frame and shape tweening). Students will learn how to create basic interactivity through buttons, scenes and frames, and how to add actions to frames and buttons for more sophisticated interactivity and special effects.

For more information or registration see course SMC-3451-D on the School of Visual Arts website.
